Eix magazine is a joint publication of mNACTEC and its Territorial System that seeks to disseminate the heritage and the scientific and technical culture of Catalan industrial society
Next Tuesday 24th of July, the presentation of the magazine Eix will be held in Manresa. The public presentation ceremony will take place at 7:00 pm on Passeig Pere III, opposite the Casino building, and will be attended by the Councilor for Culture and Youth of the City Council of Manresa, Anna Crespo; the director of the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (mNACTEC), Jaume Perarnau, and the director of the Museum of Technical of Manresa, Alba Subirana.
Eix is a biannual publication that aims to publicize and disseminate the heritage and the scientific and technical culture of the Catalan industrial society. The magazine is edited by mNACTEC and its Territorial System. The first issue of the magazine was published in May 2016.
The publication deals with subjects of industrial and scientific heritage, industrial tourism, industrial heritage in the world and echoes the work of the museums of the Territorial System of mNACTEC. Axis has an informative tone to reach the general public, offering content in a plan, modern and rigorous way.
The magazine presents a central dossier that deals in depth with a specific subject; articles on outstanding elements of Catalan industrial heritage, emblematic brands or unknown patrimony; double photo pages; collaborations and perspectives of specialists; interviews, and proposals for industrial heritage trips, among others.
